CCA's Position on Striped Bass Management
CCA believes that
the age and size structure of the striped bass population should closely
mirror that of a natural population. In Amendment 6, managers must
implement a management scheme that:
- Supports a sustainable population, within a balanced ecosystem
- Permits a more natural distribution of age classes
- Allows the striped bass to exist across its historic geographic
range
- Provides anglers with a reasonable expectation to catch this
valuable sport fish.
