Ted Venker joined Coastal Conservation Association in 2003 as the National Communications Director and Editor of TIDE, the Association’s bi-monthly magazine. A native of Houston, Texas, he witnessed the success of Gulf Coast Conservation Association, the predecessor of CCA, and first joined the organization as a teenager.

     Prior to joining CCA, he worked for seven years as the Director of Communications for the Petroleum Equipment Suppliers Association, the oldest oilfield service association in the country. He is a member of the Texas Outdoor Writers Association. Venker holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Texas A&M University.
