CCA Fisheries Committees

CCA develops its fisheries positions and policies through the active participation of volunteers throughout its 17 state chapters. Each committee is made up of dedicated conservationists who are appointed by their state chapters to educate themselves on various fisheries issues, participate in committee meetings, and develop conservation-minded positions for consideration by the CCA National Government Relations Committee.

With the guidance of a region-specific fisheries expert, each committee previews and reviews the issues under consideration by the relevant federal fishery management regulatory agencies.

Anglers cautiously optimistic after rec fish summit - April 21, 2010

"Thanks so much for the information. It's so good to know that even I have some say back in DC via CCA. I went to a Puget Sound Anglers meeting last night. They support CCA and most hands were raised when the President asked for a show of hands by to also were CCA members. My personal goal is to bring more members to my local chapter. It's only by having membership power that my CCA representatives can swing the old big fist. The commercials have money. But votes are worth more than money. Money can buy votes but we all need to understand that a solid voting block is worth more than money."

Thank you CCA!
